Can anyone remember the name of the artist who invented it? I saw a documentary about him. he earns a load of money from all the cantre parks ads. I once saw three ads in a row with his photography in it and they were for different products.
He should be given more credit than hollywood gives him.

In 1980 British Art Student Tim Macmillan was the first person that invented the effect. I think this is who you are asking about, but around the same time about 4 other people that didn't know Macmillan had discovered the effect also"invented" it aswell and stared using it. In 1993 , a BBC program called "Tomorrow's World" featured his effect for the first time. He is head of Time-slice Films if that helps.

Forgot to mention this . . .
Because more than one person "invented" the effect, no one can really take credit for it.
whooooo! I hope that answers all of your questions!
